3 years ago, Courtney – a young girl living with Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy – came to W.A.G.S. 4 Kids with one wish.
“I want to walk across the stage at graduation,” she said.
With her legs growing more frail, Courtney faced the choice of High School in leg braces or with a walker, but instead for her best friend in Service Dog, Micah. Micah, the Service Dog, was named by the family of a young boy who tragically took committed suicide as a senior in High School. Micah was #44 of his football team. Service Dog, Micah, turned out to be our 44th placement. And then the magic began…
On May 28th, 2015 – Courtney walked across the stage to receive her diploma. Micah was at her side.
Join us on June 25th as we continue our efforts to make wishes come true. Pay it forward for the abilities of children with disabilities. Cleveland, join us.
