Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Working Animals Giving Service for Kids! Volunteers are truly the backbone of any organization or special event and your support is greatly appreciated.
Our Event Volunteers not only get to hear our powerful message first hand, but you get the opportunity to spread our message to event attendees as well.
The Board of Directors support the work of W.A.G.S. 4 Kids and provide mission-based leadership, major individual and corporate fundraising support and strategic governance. We are currently seeking advisory board volunteers with professional experience in marketing, fundraising, law and finance.
Foster families are an integral part of the W.A.G.S. 4 Kids program. It is through the dedication of its volunteers that W.A.G.S. 4 Kids is able to prepare these special animals for the work they will do. Homes are typically needed for periods of approximately six weeks to twelve weeks in duration. Service Dogs in training will be placed in one home during the twelve (12) month to twenty-two (22) month old time frame. Our goal is to provide patterned, specific experiences with each dog in training to prepare, test, and transition his or her ability to be of service to a child in real life environments and situations.
