Prison Program
WAGS 4 Kids is forever grateful for our partnership with the ODRC as part of our dog training process. It is our WAGS 4 Kids Step By Step Training Program.
ODRC Accredited Apprenticeship Service Dog Training Program
Your Support Has A Big Impact
Over 2,500 apprentices have earned either a 50% or 100% certificate from the US Department of Labor in the last ten years.
Apprenticeship programs use qualified volunteer prison staff members to supervise and train inmate apprentices in vocations that enhance employability skills.
We are thankful for the relationship we have with each of our correctional facilities. Our program would not be able to succeed on the level it is, without the help of each of these facilities, and the staff and residents within. The residents are able to train our dogs to a capacity that none of us would ever be capable of. We also love to hear the stories from residents about how each of these dogs have touched their lives and given them purpose each day.
