Meet Miley! Miley is a 4 year old little girl with tons of energy. She is beautiful, strong willed, loving, caring, sympathetic, funny, and difficult at times. Miley was diagnosed with Speech apraxia, developmental delay and sensory processing disorder at the age of 2. She was also recently diagnosed with severe ADD and ADHD along with anxiety. She is easily frustrated when trying to converse due to very limited speech. This has made life in our home a daily struggle. Miley often has tantrums and becomes physical to our family or herself when she can’t communicate what she is trying to say and we don’t understand what she needs. She has not slept through the night in the last 3 years, waking up anywhere between 10 pm and 3 am. We feel that a service dog would help calm her, keep her safe and give her a companion to get her through the tough times she has. It is often times hard for Miley to play with other children, though she is an extremely lovable and loyal little girl, because they don’t understand her. She is always touching people or using her hands in some way because of the lack of communication. Miley’s siblings, her brother and sister who are twin 9-year-old's, are wonderful with her and love her so much. They are involved in many sports and Miley loves attending. She is their teams #1 fan, and loves trying to play like them. Miley is always cheering and clapping and gets overly excited while watching these activities. Miley brings joy and happiness to everyone she encounters. We believe a service dog will help Miley through her tough times, and bring happiness and balance to her daily life. Thank you.
