In May 2019, Strongsville Middle School student Ava chose to host a school-wide fundraising project to benefit W.A.G.S. 4 Kids. Ava thought of W.A.G.S. 4 Kids for her school project because her older brother Myles received one of W.A.G.S. 4 Kids' first service dogs. Myles' untimely passing earlier that year lead W.A.G.S. 4 Kids to name a puppy in his honor.

The idea turned into Strongsville Middle School's "Mustang Roundup" Field Day. Students were encouraged to buy tickets in advance that they could later trade in for a variety of fun activities during the field day event. Tickets could be traded for snacks, drinks, candy, dunking water on a teacher, games, and getting to pet and meet a W.A.G.S. 4 Kids dog.
During the Mustang Roundup, Ava, her mom Suzi, and her dad Vince got to meet puppy Myles, named for their brother/son – and 1,200 Strongsville Middle School students did, too!

The amazing students at Strongsville Middle School raised over $9,500 for W.A.G.S. 4 Kids through the Mustang Roundup field day! A special thank you to Ava for the wonderful idea, and for all students at Strongsville Middle School for being Kids Who Can!
